Individual Therapy

People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to dealing with depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge.  My approach is holistic, based on the concept that people experience the world not only through their thoughts and emotions but also simultaneously through their bodies. When you feel you need the  support and guidance of an unbiased and caring witness, I am here.

Child and Adolescent Therapy

Being a child doesn't have to be fraught with difficulties. Children, at times, need the support and caring of a neutral party who can help them navigate life's challenges, sibling rivalry, school stress, peer conflict, or more.

I have extensive experience in working with children with a variety of needs and backgrounds. If you are challenged with your child's behavior, or if you feel your child needs the outside support of a mental health professional, call for a free consultation.

Parent-Child Family Therapy

Every family, at some point, encounters challenges and hurdles, and sometimes those hurdles seem overwhelming. From difficult periods to chronic and severe behaviors, I have helped families stabilize and recover their inherent strengths and resiliency.

Building secure attachments and stable relationships are essential for the life-long mental health of your child. If you are caring for a foster or adoptive child, this is even more an urgent undertaking. If you need support, don't hesitate to contact me.

Couples Therapy

All relationships go through phases and, at some point, an invitation to drop into deeper intimacy and connection, and navigating the need for connection while honoring difference can be essential for success. We all bring our own unique expectations and experiences regarding needs and disappointment. Fortunately, there are research validated skills for navigating upset and cultivating connection. Whatever your relational paradigm, please don't hesitate to seek support when the need presents.

Consultation & Training

Learning is a life-long process. As an educator, trainer, and early childhood mental health consultant, I offer services throughout the Bay Area to community mental health programs and graduate institutions on a number of topics including, but not limited to: trauma-informed care, positive discipline, child development, attachment theory, movement therapy, and body psychology.

Somatic Yoga Therapy

The synchronization and integration of body and mind are a key component to mental health and overall well-being. Ignore the body, and the mind suffers. Attempt to relate to life through only the fluctuations of the mind, and dis-ease inevitably propagates in the body. Through gentle practices and self-awareness, Somatic Yoga Therapy seeks to re-unite the intimate relationship between body and mind, thereby restoring balance and integration that is deeply stable and sustainable.
